Hardback, 1885, illustrated, published by Oliphant, Anderson & Ferrier, Edinburgh, 96 pages. Illustrated, coloured frontispiece.
Octavo/8vo, measures around 6 5/8" by 4 3/8" by 3/8". Brown cloth binding, pictorial detail to front board, gilt detail to front board, dark brown lettering to spine, emblem to rear board. A little marking and scuffing to binding but quite clean and colouring still vivid. Signs of wear, rubbing at edges and on hinges, bumped corners. Book has slight forward tilt. Slackness to binding, cracking to inner hinges and between pages 16 and 17 but pages all present. Page edges a little browned, scuffed, marked and foxed. Previous owner name and seller stamp to front free endpaper. Some marks to page surfaces but no underlining, marginalia, etc. See pictures for further information.
