The binding, olive green full cloth with large gilt title wreathed with rose stems of darker green and pink roses, is a bit soiled overall, with the corners bumped and some wear to the head and tail of the spine.The text is bright and easily readable; four watercolor plate illustrations grace the pages. Previous giver's inscription on the FFendpaper dated 1905.There are some small thumbing and foxing spots throughout. Signatures exhibit some looseness although all pages remain firmly sewn in.This Victorian Era favorite remains in presentable, collectible condition.. First Edition. Dec. Cloth with Gilt Lettering.
