Sobre este artículo
St. Paul (MN): St. Paul Book and Stationary Company, 1887. Cloth. Very good. [Neill, Edward D (ed)]: Glimpses of the Nation's Struggle: [A series of papers read before the Minnesota Commandery of the Loyal Legion of the United States - Volume I]. St. Paul (MN): St. Paul Book and Stationary Company, [1887]. Size is octavo (8vo), 9"/23cm h. Bound in publisher's brown cloth w/beveled edges, ornamental gilt lettering to front board and spine, color reprod of the Legion's membership medal to front board. Plain dark blue endpapers. [1-2], 3-416, [417-418]. Preface, contents; 18 papers or addresses. Foldout map of Mobile and environs at p. 54. Condition notes: solid though sunned first volume of first-hand accounts of the American Civil War. An apparent printer's error resulted in the volume lacking a title and copyright page - no evidence of the page having been removed - thus known information about this volume derived only from bibliographic sources is shown in [brackets]. Handsome binding sunned and moderately worn, pronounced to head front board, the brown fading to an attractive purple. Spine ends rolled, corners bumped. Moderate toning and soiling to edges. Binding solid, sound, square. An occasional pencil mark to interior, else unmarked, tanned. Papers consider the following engagements, persons, and units: Abraham Lincoln, City of Mobile (1864), Ulysses S. Grant, 7th Minnesota Infantry, 137th Illinois Infantry, 100th Pennsylvania Inf, General Pope, 1st Minnesota Mounted Rangers, Chancellorsville to Libby Prison, 126th Pennsylvania Inf, Atlanta, 16th Illinois Cavalry, Missouri, Cedar Creek, 2nd Ohio Cavalry, Reminiscences of a US Army Surgeon, Mine Run, 4th U.S. Infantry, Surrender of the 3rd Minnesota Inf, 10th Minnesota Inf, Old Vermont Brigade, Petersburg.
