God speaks to us through the Bible (reading). Then His word is explained that the people may easily receive and keep it (Homily). Having listened to the message of God, the people answer with their prayer and song (prayer and hymn). In most of these celebrations the pattern is repeated three times in order to develop the chosen theme more fully."
