Sobre este artículo

New York: Delacorte Press, 1978. First Printing. Cloth. Very Good -/Very Good -. 338pgs, dust wrapper chipped and has discoloration on both dw flaps bleeding over onto the inside of the front and back cover (it almost appears that the dustwrapper flaps were glued down at one time?), previous owner's bookplate removed showing a glue stain on the front endpaper. In spite of these deficiencies, this is a presentable first edition of a scarce title.

Sinopsis

Going After Cacciato is a war novel written by author Tim O'Brien and winner of the National Book Award for fiction in 1979. This complex novel is set during the Vietnam War and is told from the point of view of the protagonist, Paul Berlin. The story traces the events that ensue after Cacciato, a member of Berlin's squad, decides to go AWOL by walking from Vietnam to France, through Asia. Cacciato, an Italian word pronounced "cah-chyah-to" means "hunted"/"caught" in Italian.
