London: Sampson Low, Marston & Co. Ltd., 1930. (Brian Oswald) Donn Byrne (1889-1928) was born in America, but grew up in Ireland and was a native speaker. He was prolific, and his romantic novels became quite popular before his premature death in an automobile accident. his is a Very Good Plus copy of the First Edition. BAL 2312. There is no publication date given, but per COPAC Quercus assigns the date 1930. Much less common than other Byrne titles. Dark gray or black cloth binding, ruled and titled on the front cover; gilt on the spine. Clean text; 156 pages. Bookplate on the front paste-down, and a rather cryptic penciled note on the FFEP: "This book published under the name of a Party atBaccarat in the U.S.A." Size: 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall. First Edition.. Hard Cover. Very Good Plus/No Jacket.
