Subscribed below the introductory address To the Christian Readers; Chiefly to such who were the Subscribers for, and principal Promoters of the Publication of this work is printed Benjamin Keach and his address. The address From my House at Horse-lie-down, in Freemans-Lane, Southwark, Septemb. 13. 1694 is written out in full much larger than the reduced font of the printer, and with some small variation in spelling. This book of sermons by the redoubtable Baptist also includes the words only of two Hymns of Praise. INCOMPLETE: LACKS TITLE PAGE and FRONTISPIECE; LACKS The Alphabetical Table (i.e. Index) pp. 501-6 at rear An ownership inscription dated 1745 on verso of title page is partly torn away; various members of this Buswell family have added signatures in the margins of a few leaves, along with a very few annotations. Spine and edges of boards heavily worn; external hinges are split and reinforced with old tape; upper corner of title page torn away removing pet from trumpet; margins of pp. ii-viii and 1-6 professionally restored with a little loss of printed marginal references; pagination proceeds straight from 70 to 75, where an inner title page is missing; pp. 419 to 448 have worm damage, but the loss is mainly marginal and any damage to the text is readily decipherable; a small burn hole pp. 293-4 has caused the loss of a few letters; altogether a good copy of a book which appears to have been well-consulted for the guidance it contained.
