Mild foxing to page edges, lower edge a bit rubbed, a nearly fine copy in a good to very good dust jacket with chips at the spine ends with loss, affecting the G & O in the title lettering and the M, C, & B in McBride at the base, spine a bit age darkened with some damp stains, crease to lower left front panel with small chip and closed tear at fold, rubbing to front flap fold with closed tears at top and bottom and mild loss at upper corner tip. A decent copy of a book uncommon in nice condition and scarce with the dust jacket. (30799). Octavo, pp. [i-iv] v [vi] vii [viii] [1-3] 4-308 [309-312: blank], three inserted plates, original green light green cloth, front and spine stamped in gold. A story of Chinatown linked with THE YELLOW CLAW (1915) and the Fu Manchu series, this novel focuses on the activities of Fu Manchu's temporary successor in the Council of Seven while the notorious doctor is recovering from a bullet wound to the head.
