A picture book illustrated throughout. Bound in brown half-cloth over striped, printed paper-covered boards, metallic copper lettering stamped on spine. In the color-illustrated dust jacket, unclipped. Inscribed by the author on the title page. This copy was a gift from Henkes to one of his mentors, Barbara Bader, author of "American Picturebooks from Noah's Art to The Beast Within." Henkes dedicated his book "Sun Flower Lion" to Bader. On the title page Henkes' has illustrated a bird shouting "To Barbara with admiration & affection - Kevin - 2007." A choice association connecting an authority in children's literature with one of today's accomplished practitioners. Dust jacket is now protected in a clear, removable, archival sleeve.

All books are packed and shipped within 24 hours of receipt of order. Every book is professionally packaged in a heavy cardboard box and shipped via US Postal Service, fully insured. Shipping rates are $3.50 per book; an additional $1 for every book thereafter. Sets and oversized volumes might require additional postage – indication of such will be noted in the book description. Those orders ship at cost. Other shipping modes are available per arrangement. Institutions will be billed per requirements.
