Sobre este artículo

n.p., 1858. Approximately 9.75x14 inch woodblock print, very good, backed with a piece of used scrap paper bearing Japanese calligraphy. The oddly-shaped characters depicted on the print are typical of such designs, intended to symbolize good fortune. The auspicious syllable "fu" can be found hidden in numerous places, such as the names of the God of Fortune (Fukurokujū 福禄寿), wisteria (Fuji 藤), Adonis ramosa (Fukujusō 福寿草), Pachysandra terminalis (Fukkisō 富貴草), and Eupatorium japonicum (Fujibakama 藤袴 ).
