London: G.P.Putnam's Sons. Original Cloth. Good. 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall. Coburn, Frederick Simpson . 124pp. No date - c 1900. Ilustrated with 4 full page colour plates wiht tissue guards - original illustrations by Fredeirck Simpson Coburn, now in colour. There are colour plates pasted also to the front and rear paste downs and one to the front board with a gilt embossed decorative design and lettering surrounding it. Gilt embossed lettering and design also to the spine. Upper edges gilt. There is rubbing to the head and tail of the spine with slight loss of the cloth. Slight fading to the cloth spine and adjacent edge of the rear board. There is also rubbing to the periphery of the front board illustration. Light foxing to the preliminary blank page, frontispiece plate and to the tissue guard. There is a consistent tide mark affecting the extreme upper leaves for about 2-3mm , not affecting the plates in any way. The book is otherwise clean and tight. A good copy.
