Gardner lecture on August 14, 1985. Canadian Quaker pamphlet no. 22. Hirabayashi had refused to register for the evacuation of Japanese American residents during WWII and was jailed, in what became an important legal case. Here he discusses his experiences of racism and outlines his religious ideals.
