First Editions with these Illustrations after designs by French artist Alexandre Bida [1813-1895]. 4 Volumes. folio. titles in red & black. 4 additional engraved titles with lettering in red & 128 etched plates. tissue guards with legends. title vignettes. decorative ornaments & initials. each volume in a different gilt-stamped morocco binding, gilt backs, gilt inside dentelles, all edges gilt (some rubbing to joints & extremities, front joints of Mark & Luke vols. cracked, slight discolouration to upper covers of Luke & John vols., scattered mostly light foxing in last 2 vols.)
