Shwartz's 'The Grail of Hearts' is a fantasy that features, of course, the Holy Grail and offers a sympathetic treatment of Kundry from Richard Wagner's opera Parsifal; Shwart's Kundry is depicted as a version of the Wandering Jew. A magical retelling of the legend of the Wandering Jew follows Kundry--the harlot who is condemned to wander the Earth for all eternity for laughing at the crucifixion of Christ and also includes the evil sorcerer Klingsor, and Parsival the fool. ; 16mo 6" - 7" tall; 340 pages .
