Vellum c. 1753, hand-lettered spine. Edges of plates a little frayed, but very good. Bookplates of the Libreria Forni, Bologna, and the Burndy Library (with withdrawal stamp). Martin, an instrument-maker and dealer, was one of the great popularizers of science in the mid-eighteenth century.
