Sobre este artículo
Middletown, Delaware : Simplicissimus Book Farm , 2018. Stated at bottom of final page: "Printed in Middletown, Delaware. Oct. 1, 2018." Glossy pictorial light brown wraps, fine. Pages fine; no writing. Several illustrations. Bind fine. Arranged in four chapters. This title is also known as Le Dragon Rouge or The Red Dragon, the Art of Controlling Celestial, Aerial, Terrestrial, and Infernal Spirits. It is considered a black magic goetic grimoire. Reproduced here is a work which describes several demons as well as the rituals to summon them in order to make pacts with them. Not suggested or recommended. It also details several spells to win the lottery, speak with Spirits, raise the Dead, to be loved, to become invisible, etc. This book also includes various Seals, Prayers, Orations, Offerings and many ways to make Pacts with Lucifuge Rofocale, as well as the required magical preparations and the manner of making the "Blasting Wand." One of the most popular and oldest "grimoires." Interestingly, the word "clavicle" is from French clavicule "collarbone" (16c.), also "small key." From the Medieval Latin clavicula "collarbone" (used c. 980 in a translation of Avicenna), a special use of classical Latin clavicula, or "small key, bolt," diminutive of clavis "key" (from PIE root *klau- "hook"); in the anatomical sense a loan-translation of Greek kleis "key, collarbone," from its function as the "fastener" of the shoulder. Different editions date this work to the 13th or 14th century. Owen Davies suggests 1702 is when the first edition may have been created and a Bibliothèque bleue version (a popular edition, similar to a chapbook) of the text may have been published in 1750. The 19th-century French occultist Éliphas Lévi considered the contemporary edition of Le Dragon Rouge to be a counterfeit of a true, older Grand Grimoire. The "introductory chapter" is attributed to Antonio Venitiana del Rabina, who said he gathered his information from original writings of King Solomon. Much of the material derives from the Key of Solomon and the Lesser Key of Solomon, pseudepigraphical grimoires attributed to King Solomon. The first book contains instructions for summoning Lucifuge Rofocale, for the purpose of forming a deal. From cover: "This book is so rare and sought after it has been called by our Rabbis the true Great Work. They were the ones who left us the precious original that many charlatans uselessly wanted to counterfeit attempting to imitate the truth in order to swindle ingenuous individuals who have faith in initial encounters without seeking their true Source. This work has been copied from the various writings of King Solomon. This great king spent his days in the difficult search of the most obscure and unexpected secrets. In the end, he succeeded in his endeavors and reached his goal of pentrating the most pround dwelling of the spirits. He obliged these spirits to obey him by the power of his talisman, the clavicle. Who else but this powerful genious would have dared bring to light the thundering words he used to constrain the rebel spirits to his will, having penetrated up to the celestial beings to learn the secrets and powerful words that have the force of a terrible and respected God?" 58 pages. Insured post.. Soft Cover. Fine. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" Tall.
