Sobre este artículo

Akron, OH: The Werner Ptg. & Litho. Co., 1891. Hardcover. Fair. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. See photos for condition details. Hardcover, beveled cloth boards show extensive spotting, which is mainly loss to the finish on the cloth. The spine has some small holes near the center and edges and corners show bumps/wear. On the rear board, hinge area, there is a shiny spot in the outside gutter from glue. The internal binding of the text pages is very good and pages are tight but the front hinge is cracked in the rear hinge shows a somewhat sloppy glue job where someone tried and attempted repair. No signatures or bookplates present, no library markings. The only handwriting found in the book is on the rear end page, where you can see some arithmetic was done in pencil and then later partially erased. Pages are toned due to age and there is some spotting and foxing present. Found between the pages is a minor piece of ephemera (not pictured): it appears to be a blank receipt from W. R. Robbins Grocer in Sylvan Lake, FL. It is missing the upper right corner but is otherwise in unused condition. It has been placed in a glassine envelope so it will not react with the paper of the book and has been put back in at page 461, where it was originally found.

Yesterday's Book Shop (Member IOBA)

Purchases will ship by US Media Mail or Priority Mail (if buyer selects) and higher priced items may have insured placed on the order and will typically ship within one business day. Additional postage may be required for multiple volume books or books weighing over 5 lbs., but only in unusual cases. Insurance is available upon request though we normally place insurance on any item of $75 or higher at no additional cost to the buyer. Non-US sales will ship by First Class International or Global Priority. Additional postage may be required for multiple volume books or books weighing over 4 lbs.

We always take extra care in packaging and shipping. Books are typically wrapped in packing paper or bubblewrap before packaged in a sturdt shipping box. All orders, even those shipped by US Media Mail, will be given a USPS tracking number which will be sent to the buyer so they will know when to expect arrival. Please let us know if there is a book with incorrect or missing photos. We recently moved the inventory to Biblio and a title or two may have had issues with the photos being transferred over.

Yesterday's Book shop is owned and operated by a disabled veteran. Due to my limitations, I often have to rely on speech-to-text software to list the books. If the description has typos ("and pages" instead of "end pages", pace downs instead of pastedowns, guilt instead of gilt, etc,) PLEASE let me know so I can correct the listing. The software spells words by phonetics and can make errors that I may not catch.

There is a 30 day money back guarantee if the book arrives damaged or is not as described. Please contact us prior if you have any issues with your purchases and we will make sure you are taken care of.

Sobre Yesterday's Book Shop (Member IOBA)

Yesterday's Book Shop is an independent, family-owned establishment. The store first opened in 1966 under the name Collector's Corner and was located in Western Maryland. The Collector's Corner dealt mainly in books but also sold stamps and assorted ephemera. In 1975 the name was changed to Yesterday's Book Shop when the store only offered books and printed matter. In the early 2000s the brick and mortar store was closed and now we only sell online.

All of the book pictures were taken at the time the book was listed and we never use generic or stock photos in any listing. If you would like additional photos or information on any listing please let us know and we will be more than happy to comply.
