Oblong, 3/4 leather with pebbled cloth boards, gilt spine title/ 24.5 cm wide by 14 cm high, bound accordian style. The panorama, when opened, extends to approx. 552 cm. Each of the 24 lithographed plates are hand-colored, except for the title page, Issued both in plain and colored copies, this book was the fourth of seven panoramas Sala engraved for publisher Adolphus Ackermann in 1850-51. An amusing, tongue-in-cheek look at the Great Exhibition, and quite scarce. 092717D
