Sobre este artículo
New York: Harper & Brothers Publishers Book. Very Good. Hardcover. 2nd Edition. 1936. Seoncd Edition, ix, 491pp. The book is very good, with very little noticeable wear, the dj is poor, price-clipped, chipped badly at the head and tail of the spine and with minor tears at almost all the edges. Now, (almost too late) in a Brodart cover. Signed by the author. Fannie Hurst (1889-1968), was the daughter of American-born Jews of German descent and was raised and educated in St. Louis. Her books often focused on women's issues, and were widely read during the post-WWI years. This novel, set in the Chelsea section of New York City in the late 1920s, is about a 100 year old matriarch of a large and fading family, conspiring to regain the family fortune before she leaves this earth..
