Illustrator: black-and-white photographs & maps. second-hand copy, the top edge of the dust jacket has 2 short tears, but no loss. And, unusually, the bottom edge of the text block has been tinted purple, which I think is a manufacturing mistake, the book having gone in upside down. There is no damage to describe otherwise. Illustrated with some colour plates at the beginning of the book, and many black-and-white photographs, along with a couple of diagrams. Through the Canon – in effect grammar, syntax, and vocabulary of the artistic language – ancient Egyptian sculpture maintained throughout the years it's astonishing coherence.
