This masterpiece which came from Atatürk's own pen, was given the title The Speech due to its being based upon a thirty-six-and-a half hour speech delivered by Atatürk over six days at the Second General Assembly of the Republican People's Party in Ankara between 15-20 November 1927. Later, this valuable documentary source was given the title The Great Speech.
