Cincinnati, OHIO: George F. Tuttle, 1857. Book. Very Good. Hardcover. Beautiful black leather bound book illustrated with India-tinted Engravings. Enlarged Edition, published 1857. Two volumes complete, contained in one book. Black leather stamped with beautiful design both front and rear boards, gold illustration of Canastota wagon and settler with rifle on cover; gold lettering and eagle, Indian decoration on spine with gold lettering. A few very short closed tears at top spine edge; small spot of wear to one corner tip. Binding is tight and square, hinges are sound. Decorated endpapers, marbled text-block page edges. No names, writing or bookplates. Most pages are clean and bright, a few have some foxing. Wonderful illustrations. 527 pages. A book that makes for mesmerizing reading and one that you will be proud to own..
