A collection of stories including 'The Green Flag', 'The Croxley Master', 'A Shadow Before', 'The Striped Chest' and 'The New Catacomb', amongst others.Arthur Conan Doyle (1859-1930) was a writer, physician and pioneer of crime fiction, best known for his Sherlock Holmes franchise of four novels and fifty-six short stories. He was a prolific author, producing many novels and short stories in his lifetime besides the Sherlock Holmes franchise.Presented to Rhinefield Library by Mayor Pearce, 1960. In the publisher's original full cloth binding. Externally rather worn, with some marks to the board and wear to the head and tail of the spine. Presentation inscription to the front endpaper. Internally, front hinge is exposed at the front endpaper and opposing the first page and page 33, and binding is tender elsewhere. Pages are bright and clean with just the odd spot. Good Only

Where are We?
Based in the literary city of Bath, our offices are housed in the Eastern Dispensary. Built in 1845, the building originally existed as a charitable institution providing medical care. The building now houses our collection of over twenty thousand books and has five full time members of staff.
