Sobre este artículo

New York: Atheneum, 1975. First edition of the the fourth volume in the author's acclaimed Dark Is Rising series and Newberry award winning novel. Octavo, original cloth. Boldly signed by Susan Cooper on the title page. Near fine in a near fine dust jacket. Jacket design by Michael Heslop. "Susan Cooper is one of the few contemporary writers who has the vivid imagination, the narrative powers, and the moral vision that permit her to create the kind of sweeping conflict between good and evil that lies at the heart of all great fantasy. Tolkien had it. So did C.S. Lewis. And Cooper writes in the same tradition" (Psychology Today).

Sinopsis

The Grey King is a children's fantasy novel by Susan Cooper which was awarded the Newbery Medal for excellence in American children's literature in 1976. It is the fourth of five stories in her young adult Arthurian fantasy cycle, The Dark Is Rising. Elements of Welsh folklore, albeit freely adapted or re-invented by the author, play an important role in the book.
