Sobre este artículo
Urbana: University of Illinois Press, 1954. First. Hard Bound. Near Fine. As good as it gets./Near fine,. THE history of the famous Union cavalry raid through the heart of the Western Confederacy. The raid began April 17, 1863 at La Grange, TN and ended May 2, 1863 in Union held Baton Rouge, LA.
There were 1,700 troopers in Grierson's unit comprised of the Second Iowa and the Sixth and Seventh Illinois Regiments along with a battery of two guns from the First Illinois Artillery. It must have been a very exciting hide-and-seek affair against many Confederate units out to capture them. This an excellent account.
