Sobre este artículo

Surrey, B.C., Canada: Heritage House. VG PB. (1994). 1st ed. Day had heard stories all her life about the Stantons from her father who regularly visited them. In 1956 she met them and . spent weeks listening to their lives. The Stantons headed into 90-mile-long Knight Inlet on the B.C. Coast in June 1919 in a rowboat with a 2-1/2 horse motor, abandoning city life to seek contentment in the wilderness. They trapped, fished & hand logged. The first Christmas they were so poor Jim gave his wife a procupine. They both considered the grizzlies as friends, not enemies. One one time 4 of the big bears slept within 100 yardsof their cabin. Later Laurette raised 3 orphan grizzly cubs. .
