From the preface: "The most important change in this edition is the thorough revision of the section on Greek coins, much of which has been rewritten by Mr. E. S. G. Robinson who had also revised the original text for the third edition. Mr. Mattingly has brought up to date the section on Roman and Romano-British coins which he wrote for the third edition. Dr. G. C. Brooke is again responsible for the section on English, Scottish, and Irish coins, which has been revised and in places rewritten. Sections v-x, by Sir George Hill, are reprinted from the third edition ; as are those on the British Colonies, the United States, and the Oriental series by myself. Very Good.
