[vi] + 242 pp. Frontis + numerous unspecified line drawings and b/w photo illustrations. Fourth and Revised Edition 1912 with author's presentation inscription in ink to the reverse of the frontis. Good (Book- mild general shelf wear and soiling to cloth, significant offset browning to free end papers, author presentation insc as above, slight musty smell from long term storage - not offensive but worthy of mention. Glue to back strip is beginning to fail with consequential creaking on opening and a few signatures strained but mull and sewing holding and no cracks to end papers. No other notable defects).
