Publisher's original quarter brown cloth with gilt titles to the spine and brown paper covered boards, in the Leigh Taylor illustrated dustwrapper. An excellent very near fine copy, the binding square and tight with a touch of bumping at the spine tips. The contents are clean throughout and without previous owner's marks. Publisher's purple paper review slip loosely inserted. Complete with the lightly rubbed dustwrapper that has some toning to the spine and is otherwise without loss or tears. Not price-clipped (21s / £1.05 net to the lower front flap). Signed by Derek Walcott in black ink on the title page. The Saint Lucia born, Nobel Prize winning poet and playwright's seventh collection of poetry (the fourth to be published in the UK).
