Light foxing and tanning to pages. More prominent to text block edges, pastedowns and free endpapers. Moderate cracking to gutters causing some looseness to binding but pages remain attached. Pen inscription to half title page. Boards have minor corner bumping and edgewear with visible staining, tanning and scuffing overall. Spine has heavier tanning with soft crushing to ends. Book has a slight forward lean.

London: Country Life, 1937 A firm copy, evidently seldom read, internally very good with slight tanning to endpapers, greeting on fep dated 1938 - neat hand, a little dustiness/spotting to the edges of the textblock, cover bright subject to a hint of water staining and an abrasion to top edge of front board. The dj (clipped) has a fair degree of browning and marking , some fraying (no impact on lettering) and a slit between the rear panel and spine. Scans available.
