Garden City: Doubleday, Doran & Company, 1936. Book. Fine. Hardcover. 1st Edition. First Printing. First Edition stated on copyright page, $2.00 price on front flap of dustjacket. Book is fine in tan cloth stamped in green. The middle of the dustjacket spine panel has fading around Green's name and several light stains. Dustjacket has overall edgewear with minor chipping to spine ends and a small chip to top of rear panel not affecting lettering. Still, a presentable copy of a scarce book in dustjacket. This first American edition is the true first edition, published one month before the English edition published as "A Gun For Sale". Basis for the 1942 film starring Veronica Lake and Alan Ladd. Book is protected in a custom cut mylar cover. All books are carefully wrapped and shipped in a box..
