G+ to VG, no dj India John Murray London 1911 1st (scarce) Hardbound 8vo, 214 pp + ad, maps + illustrations, index, top edge gilt, gilt titling and cover decoration Content inlcudes Autumn Crisis of 1910, policy of the Amir, Mekran Field Force, Tribal Responsibility vs Fanaticism etc. Clipped to the top of the title page is a small note reading "Book on N.W.-Frontier by General Staff-Ask Major Whitworth - Simla, Gates to India - Holdich" The paper clip has left a rust stain at the top of the first few pages; the front endpaper is trimmed at the top 3/8"; there is browning/foxing inside the covers; the covers have light extremity wear; there is a small chip at the spine base. The book is solid and otherwise clean.
