Sobre este artículo

Canada, University of Toronto Press, 1962. . First edition, second impression, inscribed by the author; 8vo; unmarked internally; publisher's yellow cloth, red lettering to spine and upper cover, with the unclipped dustjacket, lightly soiled, some chipping to edges with associated creasing, red lettering to spine slightly faded, else very good.
Presentation copy, lengthily inscribed by the author in blue ink to the front free endpaper, 'For the glorious Bucky who provides us all with a foretaste of the Extension of Consciousness that is near in this Electric Age. In friendship and esteem, Marshall McLuhan'.

The recipient was the American architect, writer and futurist Bucky Fuller. The two gurus of the electronic age met for the first time after boarding the New Hellas in Athens for an 8-day boat trip around the Greek Islands, having been invited on the trip, along with 32 other leading intellectuals from 14 countries, by Constantinos Doxiadis, a Greek architect and urban planner.
