Catharine Sedgwick was an American novelist, and became one of the most popular American writers of her time. This volumes includes 'The Linwoods', which is a historical romance set in the American Revolution. Henry David Inglis, also known by his pseudonym Derwent Conway, was a Scottish travel writer. 'Tales of the Ardennes' was his first work, and was very well received upon its publication. Inglis also published travels works on Norway, Sweden, France, and Spain. In the original diced calf binding. Externally, smart. Light fading and patches of rubbing to the joints and to the spine, mostly to the raised bands.
