Lessing's life was founded on literature. From the age of 15, she started selling her stories to magazines, and by the time of her death she had published more than fifty novels. The Habit of Living is a short story collection exploring the role that relationships have on how we behave. Stories included in this collection are The Habit of Loving, The Words He Said, The Women, and Through the Tunnel. In the original publisher's cloth in the original unclipped dust wrapper. Externally very smart. A small closed tear to the front cover and spine of the dust wrapper. Marginal age toning to the dust wrapper. Edgewear to the dust wrapper. Light marks to the boards. Where are We?
Based in the literary city of Bath, our offices are housed in the Eastern Dispensary. Built in 1845, the building originally existed as a charitable institution providing medical care. The building now houses our collection of over twenty thousand books and has five full time members of staff.
