Beautiful deep blue velvet over boards with gilt decoration to front board and rare ornate silver plate with blue stone details to rear board. Gilt-debossed titling and decorations in seven gilt-debossed compartments to spine. Housed in publisher's original 2/3 leather and navy cloth clamshell slipcase. Light foxing to first and last free endpaper, previous owner's inscription in blue pen to Hebrew title page, and rubbing to top edge of one page. Finely detailed illustrations are bright and unmarked. Text block has moderate foxing. Soiling to fore edge of rear board and light rubbing to edges; otherwise, boards are clean and bright. Light rubbing and bumping to corners. Binding is tight and square. Slipcase has dampstain to front cover near fore edge, light rubbing to corners and along spine edge, and faded spot near center of rear board. Light shelf wear to exterior and indentations to blue velvet interior from plate.
