Green papered card boards. Page dimensions: 161 x 117mm. Light-hearted account of European settlement in Otago. "Meanwhile Dunedin was progressing slowly for the upliftment of its inhabitants. One improvement was the building of a good bridge across the Water of Leith. For a long time the people had to put up with a very rickety structure which spanned these waters. Dr. Hocken, in his history of Otago, relates that this bridge was so dangerous that it was a common sight to see adults walking on all fours across it." - page 30.
