Pages 251-272 are Wyoming advertisements; there is also an advertisement for the "Home Brewery" in Cheyenne, Wyoming printed on the rear pastedown. Moderate sunning to spine and moderate soiling to boards; previous owner's inscription on front endpaper (contemporary); text block has light toning; p. 223 has a 2 ½" tear at top edge, affecting content. Strahorn originally went west as a correspondent during the conflicts with the Sioux in 1876, but eventually ended up as one of the West's biggest publicists.
