Conway, Massachusetts: Unpublished, 1950. Postcard, with "Uphill Farm Conway, Massachusetts printed in red at top, dated 6/25 addressed to Fraser Neiman in Williamsburg, Virginia. The text of the postcard in MacLeish's handwriting reads: "Dear Mr. Neiman: Thanks for yours of the 20th. Unhappily I'm doing no speaking or reading next year. Trying to get more writing done. Faithfully," followed by a signature ("A MacLeish"). Fraser Neiman taught English at the College of William and Mary and was responsible for finding speakers/readers for special occasions. The postcard is lightly toned, otherwise in very good condition.. SIGNED. First Edition. Paper. Very Good. 3 1/4" X 5 1/2". Manuscript.
