London: Cassell, 1957 First edition. HB. Cloth and pictorial dustjacket. 269pp. With 23 b&w illustrations in text. Graves argues that Dr William Palmer, hanged as a poisoner in 1856, was innocent. Good in Fair protected jacket. Light edge bumping and dulling to covers. Foxed and browned edges, neat name to flyleaf. Jacket front good with darkened edges, small corner loss, but 2.5cm loss to top spine (part of title missing), browning, marks and tear to back.
