Boston: Houghton, Mifflin and Company, 1874. Book. Good. Hardcover. Reprint. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. Hardcover, publisher's olive cloth over beveled boards, gilt and stamped in black. Black coated end-papers. All edges gilt. 64 pages. Illustrated frontispiece [with tissue guard present], and 41 vignette steel engravings by Mary A. Hallock and Thomas Moran. A later printing, without the date on the title-page, but 1874 on the copyright page. Previous owner's names on second blank leaf. Cloth binding shows rubbing and wear commensurate with age. Paper on inner front hinge cracked, albeit hinge strong. Interior is clean with no foxing or writing [but for names mentioned above]. A sound, tightly bound, acceptable copy of this early printing.
