Sobre este artículo
New York: Harper & Brothers. Very Good- with no dust jacket. 1890. Hardcover. Six months of the venerable illustrated magazine bound together in a rebound edition, formerly property of the library with lending pocket at front pastedown and rubberstampings. With dozens of engraved illustrations scattered throughout. In full blue cloth-covered boards. Textblock is firm and intact, though with dampstains and warped pages. --- This volume contains installments of the serialized novel by Alphonse Daudet: "Port Tarascon", translated by Henry James and illustrated by various artists (which is likely the first appearance in English of this novel); as well as numerous engravings by Frederic Remington. Harper's Monthly is the second-oldest continuously published monthly magazine in the United States; beginning in 1850 and continuing into the 21st century. They often featured the debut of works by noted authors or illustrators.; Ex-Library; 8vo 8" - 10" tall; 972, 4 pages .
