Accompanied a 2008 exhibition of these illustrations rendered by Irish stained-glass artist and book illustrator Harry Clarke -- representing only a quarter of the 40 full-page illustrations he had submitted for publication in a lavish leather-bound volume of Hans Andersen's Fairy Tales assembled by George G. Harrap & Co. in 1916. Includes an illustrated essay by Nicola Gordon Bowe. The real treats are the 10 full-color, full-page illustrations. Nice!
