Charles Lever was an Irish novelist and raconteur. His novels have been said to be alike to his conversation . In a half morocco binding with paper covered boards. Externally, generally smart. Small patches of rubbing to the paper covered boards. Bookseller's blind stamp to the recto of front endpaper, David Chivers. Internally, firmly bound. Prior owner's inscription to the title page. Light tidemarks to the bottom corner of twenty five or so pages. Pages are generally bright with instances of scattered spotting, heavier to the endpapers. Very Good

Where are We?
Based in the literary city of Bath, our offices are housed in the Eastern Dispensary. Built in 1845, the building originally existed as a charitable institution providing medical care. The building now houses our collection of over twenty thousand books and has five full time members of staff.
