The "Year 2" badge IS NOT present on the spine or jacket and silver lettering is raised on the front and spine of the dust jacket. (The "Year 2" badge was added on later printings. If "Year 2" badge appears on the jacket or spine, it IS NOT a first printing.) First printing typo with "ancestor" instead of "decedent" on page 332. The "Also By" list on the ffep also includes the typo "Sorceror's" instead of "Sorcerer's" in "Harry Potter and the Sorceror's Stone" title, corrected in later editions and sequels. Blue boards with embossed diamond quilt pattern, green cloth with silver lettering on spine and red end papers. Near fine copy in fine jacket. Light age-related dust soiling on top edge of page block with minimal edge wear at head and heel of jacket edges at spine. This copy appears to have never been read, just purchased and put away on the book shelf by the owner. This copy is bright, square and without the usual dedications inscribed by previous owners. Jacket price of $17.95 is intact, without tears or other stains and the now iconic jacket illustration by Mary GrandPre. A wonderful copy in almost pristine condition and rare to find without owner's inscriptions..
Sinopsis
Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets is the second book in J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter series. The story follows Harry Potter, a young wizard attending Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, as he and his friends Ron and Hermione investigate a series of attacks on students by a mysterious monster. Harry discovers the monster is actually a basilisk, a giant serpent that can kill with a single glance. With the help of his friends and new Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher, Gilderoy Lockhart, Harry must enter the Chamber of Secrets to defeat the basilisk and save his schoolmates, including Ron's younger sister Ginny who has been taken hostage by the evil wizard, Tom Riddle.
