Sinopsis
The Heart of the Matter (1948) is a novel by British author Graham Greene. It was the winner in 1948 of the James Tait Black Memorial Prize for fiction. During World War II, Greene worked for the Secret Intelligence Service in Sierra Leone, which became the setting for the novel. In 2005, the novel was chosen by TIME magazine as one of the one hundred best English-language novels from 1923 to present.
