Sobre este artículo
Garden City: Doubleday, Doran & Co., 1938. first edition, as stated. Hardcover. Near fine. Octavo, blue cloth covers with gilt title and decorations; gilt titles on a white field on spine; vi + 313 pages. Signed by Helen Keller in pencil in her characteristic block print on a tipped in page. Anne Marie Sullivan, Helen Keller's teacher of 49 years, died on October 20, 1936. Ms Polly Thomson, a native of Glasgow, Scotland, had been a companion to Helen Keller and Ms. Sullivan for 22 years, and after Sullivans's death she and Helen Keller "sailed for Scotland to find a quiet time in which to readjust their lives. Miss Keller began the journal on the ship. It is her awakening from a great spiritual numbness into a renewed determination to make her life of service to others." 020207A or CRBC
