Spine faded to tan, small nick to head of spine, small area at foot of spine darkened, corners slightly rubbed. Marbled endpapers, owner's inscription on front blank dated Easter 1923. One of America's best loved juveniles as recorded in Peter Parley to Penrod, p.45 (for first edition).; 6 color plates, 16 line drawings; 9.5 x 6.5 inches; 241 pages .
