The spine & extremities are darkened & the spine is torn with pieces out of the head & the lower third of the backstrip. The wraps are lightly bumped & chipped with some small pink stains to the front wrap & a black mark to the rear wrap. Title, [1] leaf & 54 pages. There is a short tear to the rear endpaper & the top corner of the last text page is chipped. Good. <p>"The purpose of this thesis is to show that the architecture of Syria up to the end of the third century A.D. was Hellenistic" [from the author's Preface].<p>From the library of archaeologist Clark Hopkins with his signature on the front wrap & some pencil markings in the margins of the text.
