Bound in a small quarto format, and issued in conjunction with the exhibition held at the Museum of Modern Art and two additional museums in 1946-1947. 95 [1] pp., and with 90 plates, four being in full color. James Johnson Sweeney has penned a then definitive homage to Britain's foremost sculptor. Sturdy, attractive, tightly bound, internally clean hardcover copy, with unbruised tips, neat and tidy paste-downs but for light toning and previous owner's inscription, neatly rendered; not ex-library, with neither highlighting nor underlining. Bound handsomely in gray linen cloth, with yellow lettering to cover and spine. Bright and shiny dust jacket, illustrated, showing only very minor wear beyond small chip missing at spine head, front and rear, protected by a plastic coat, dust jacket not being price-clipped.Member, I.O.B.A., C.B.A., and adherent to the highest ethical standards. Additional postage may be required for oversize or especially heavy volumes, and for sets.
